In keeping with my now failed attempt of 25 days of craft. I decided that my next craft was going to be bath bombs! I found this to be perfect because most of the ingredients were easy to find and fairly non toxic! This is important to me as I have a little munchkin running around and I want to keep him as safe as possible
most of the ingredients to make bath bombs can be found at your local drugstores and grocery store. The essential oils and citric acid was acquired at the natural food store, because I wanted it to be as organic as possible. How to create this project is easy to find just type in “how to make bath bombs” in any search engine and you’d be amazing how many blogs and crafters are ready and willing to dish up good advice. I was equally amazed at how easy this was to do. And that they actually work! YAY!
Here’s my indgrients list as follows. And a few pics of my first attempt! more to come of not so ghetto looking bath creations. I wanted to do soap but my partner told me a story of someone in his family accidentally drink lye when she was little and she wasn’t the same since. That scares me and I just do not want that in my home. I digress…
Ingredients:
Epsom Salt or Dead Sea Salt, Corn Starch, Citric Acid, Baking Soda, Borax(optional), Essential oils, Almond oil , Fragrance oil(lemongrass essential oil), water, food coloring (blue and yellow soap dye).
Fairly simple eh! I thought so. in my first attempt I added a handful of lavender flowers in my mixture just to make them a bit more soothing. (be prepared to clean the tub after). But in this lemongrass scented mixture i’m really proud of the outcome and I can’t wait to make more and give them to friends and family.
Natoya.
thinking about making some for my etsy shop as well…what do you think?
