Hey friends,
I figured, I’d dip my toes or rather, fingers back into blogging by starting off with something light – NAIL POLISH! I can’t remember the last time I’ve visited a nail salon. Being an artist and an avid gardener, I frequently work with my hands. This leaves my hands covered in paint or sometimes dirt; therefore, getting my nails done is not something high on my self-care list.

With spring around the corner, it’s hard to miss all the beautiful pastel colours everywhere. A great temporary way to inject some freshness into my life is by changing something minor and quick, like nails.I bought this Essie quick-dry nail polish in the shade “express to impress,” The shade is a beautiful pastel green. It reminds me of pistachio ice cream and the Caribbean sea. I also feel this shade looks great on all skin tones, mainly olives and deep dark skin tones.

My only contention is that this is meant to be a quick dry polish. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m just impatient or the polish did not dry as quickly as I wanted them to. I did not find it dried exceptionally faster than other polishes. The colour is beautiful. I’m so in love with how this colour turned out and will make it a staple for the warmer months ahead.

There are quite a few shades in this collection, so there is something for everyone.

Do you do your nails, or do you have them done at a salon? And because I mentioned art in this post please see below this little illustration, I created of the Expressie promotional campaign.

xx,
Natoya.
