A few weeks ago I had an oppurtunity to have a sneak peak at the Smash + Tess FW21 preview. I was very excited to attend the event. I’ve been an admirer of the Romper Revolution for quite some time and was genuinely intrigued to what Smash + Tess had in store for the upcoming cozy season.
Who is Smash + Tess?
Smash and Tess is a Vancouver-based, ethically made fashion brand. The brand was founded by Ashley Freeborn, Mercedes Laporte and Tess Freeborn.

You’ve more than likely seen one or two of your favourite celebs raving about their rompers.
Their Rompers are from sustainable fabrics such as rayon, bamboo, cotton and cotton blends. Giving them that signature softness, breathability and stretch.
What to expect for Fall 2021?
This season features new prints and colour offerings for the entire family as well as cozy get ups for your fur babies. Most importantly they have extended their size offerings. The inclusive size range now allows people from 3XS- 4X to enjoy their clothing. Which as many of you know is very important to me as a plus size woman who loves fashion.
Romperalls
The two styles which stood out the most to me was the Tartan Blue Romeralls and the The Rachel Romperalls. They are both cozy romper/ overall combos which you are able to dress up or dress down. The Rachel is black with a white floral pattern detail where as the Tartan Blue is a Blue Tartan pattern. I’m more partial to the Blue Tartan as it suits my casual sense of style so much better. I just know I’ll be living in this!! The fabric is cotton and spandex blend. It is so soft, stretchy and easy to get into and not to mention it looks and feels amazing on!

The Friday Romper
We were gifted The Friday Romper in it’s new colour Burgundy. Definitely a fall staple. I appreciated the fact that it is long sleeved and tapered at the ankles. I can see myself dressing this up with boots and an oversized sweater this fall. The Friday Romper has the same great softness and stretch as the other rompers. VERY EASY to get into. Made from sustainable Rayon from Bamboo, Cotton and Spandex.
In this little video below is a sneak peak of ALL the new styles and colour options coming this Fall/Winter. (Please note, some of these are not yet available.) There are so many amazing pieces to choose from. But, I think my favourite of all is Ashley’s sequin dress!
