I’ve tried so many different types of foundation and I’m going to share my findings with you guys today. I went from the really Low end to the super high end and these are what I found works best and for varying reasons.
Urban Decay Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup – Deep Dark -$47.00
Let’s start with Urban Decay Weightless Foundation. This is a summer staple for the simple fact it is Weightless! This is a lightweight foundation at first I was not impressed because it came out almost like WATER! But with a good primer I was able to get the coverage I needed. It’s ideal for those summer days you do not want to apply a lot of makeup. It evens your skin tone and last for hours but you feel you have nothing on! Thus the Weightlessness! I wear the shade DEEP DARK.
Maybelline Fit Me – 360 – $15.00
I’ve been wearing this Foundation since college this was back when they only went up to shade 355! If you’re in a budget and need great coverage and good value! This is pretty much the holy grail. Fit Me is buildable and provides full coverage. Be sure to moisturize and apply a primer before you use your Foundation this ensures it lasts several hours. This is again a liquid foundation which dries down to a matte finish (which I personally love)FIT ME has quite an impressive range of shades and can be found in your local drug stores
M.A.C. – Matchmaster – 8.0 -$50.00
M.A.C. Was my first brush with “high end” foundations I used STUDIO TECH for a long time but my skin started breaking out as a result of over usage! Yes this is a thing with foundations. Match master provides a truly flawless finish. Foundation is buildable and maybe I’m crazy but the shades changes to match your unique skin tone. I use 8.0 in the winter time and 8.5 in the summer. This is another foundation which dries down matte and is buildable. If you are using a good concealer you’re able to have the smoothest coverage. This is a huge plus for me.
CHANEL – Le Teint Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Flawless Foundation- 361 Chocolate – $79.00
This is by far! The best foundation I have ever tried in my entire life! Chanel being a high end brand means this is a bit on the expensive side. But worth every freaking penny! This is a full coverage, liquid foundation with a very good range of shades for all skin tones. You need literally 2 pumps and Viola! Flawlessness. Foundation feels light on your skin as though you’re wearing nothing but last all day. You may only need to apply a bit if powder through the day. Amazing skin control, contains SPF and is also very, very lightly perfumed if that is something you like ( I personally don’t like scents in makeup myself). But if I were to pick my favourite foundation. This would be my number one.
Christian Dior – Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 35 – Shade 070 Dark Brown -$65.00
In all honesty I hated this foundation when I first tried it. And then I realized I wasn’t using it correctly. What? There’s only one way to use foundations right? Nope!
When I would wear this foundation I would swear perfussly and as a result the foundation would start to separate and come off with the sweat! Ugh! It was a gross sweaty mess so I left it alone for a few months.
I thought could it have been my primer? YES! It was my primer. I then started to use a different primer which evens and mattifies the skin. And it was like night and day. Sweaty and Dry! The other primer I was using was having a chemical reaction with my foundation which caused me to sweat perfusly. This has since became one of my all time favourite foundations.
