Christian Dior – Rouge Dior – 745 Terrific Matte Lipstick

Disclosure: I purchased this item

I bought this lipstick at Sephora back in the fall but haven’t had a chance to test it out until now. The Christian Dior name is synonymous with elegance, haute couture and class. And the makeup line is nothing short of that.

I opted to try the Rouge Dior in 745 Terrific Matte. Rouge Dior comes packaged in a very sleek navy blue package with the signature brand logo at the top of the package and sleek quilted silver band close to the opening.Once opened the lipstick is beautifully encased in a sleek silver housing. All lipsticks have the signature Dior name written on them as well and they smell absolutely divine.

The Rouge Dior is a very creamy formula, lipstick applies effortlessly with no creasing or residues. You are able to feel the enriching properties of the hydrating mango butter which work as a natural UV protector and skin softener. Mango Butter is also known to restore and reduce dying skin cells. After application lips appear noticeably plump this is caused by the Decox an active ingredient which creates a volumizing effect.

I love a really great matte lipstick but since my lips are so heavily pigmented I have a hard time finding a lipstick which will be long-lasting and pigmented enough to suit my needs. Rouge Dior is meant to last up to 16 hours. Which I have tested this theory and it held up for maybe 9 hours. This included lunch, cocktails, Lots of talking and drinking water.  Needless to say at $43.00CAD, Though a bit steep you are getting your money worth.

It is an investment. But with all the great colors to choose from you won’t be disappointed.  If you’ve tried these lipsticks comment below and let me know how you liked them.
