Soy Candles

This is by far my favourite thing to do now! you can be so creative with scents, color, sizes etc. I decided to go into a making candles a business. so look out for this. It all started with collecting mismatched teacups from the thrift store, then flipping through a Martha Stewart craft book and seeing her making candles in the cups. I thought wow that’s neat i’m going to try it. I went to Michaels and bought a block of paraffin wax, some wicks , boiler, and some , scents. I came home and tried it out. Needless to say the first candles I made i had to throw them out because I hated them so much! I did some extensive research and decided to try soy wax, made from pure soybean oils and beeswax. I instantaneously fell in love it burns cleaner and is just so much better. Beeswax however takes a bit of craftsmanship and studying up to make a perfect candle. Here are a few pictures of some soy candles I’ve made
