In February, I picked up the last Sephora Favourites Skincare for Body Set at my local Sephora. I really wanted the lipstick favourite set but they were completely sold out online and inshore. For the winter months however, the Skincare for Body set makes a little more sense. 

These little sets are great for product discovery without committing to full-size products you may or may not fully enjoy. A few products stood out for me so far and these are them;

Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Firmeza Body Oil (0.4oz / 12 mL)

I’ve been trying Sol De Janeiro, but I’m not big on fragrances and found this product very fragrant. It’s scented with the Cheirosa 62 scent, and smells like vanilla, almonds and sandalwood. It’s truly a fantastic scent, even for a non-fragrance-loving girlie like me. This body oil is moisturizing without being very greasy, which I love; in my research, it promises to help firm and tighten the skin and decrease puffiness. I can’t attest to all of that from my little 0.4oz sample. But I love using it in conjunction with the Bum Bum Body Butter in the set. it leaves my skin hydrated and moisturized, and it smells incredible. I am certainly looking forward to buying the full size.

L’Occitane en Provence Almond Shower Oil ( 2.25 oz / 75mL)

I’ve always loved L’Occitane hand creams but never tried their other products. The idea of a shower oil appeals to me because I love slathering my skin with all the moisture I can get. The shower oil lathers beautifully, and a little goes a long way; I got a few showers out of this which is surprising. After each use, my skin felt so soft and supple. My skin was hydrated and moisturized fresh out of the shower, which is always a win, and of course, the almond scent was not too overpowering. It’s gentle and pleasing. This has become a fast staple in my shower time routine, and I even kept the travel-size bottle so I can refill it and take it with me when we go away. The cost of the Almond Shower oil might be steep at $54.00, but it is worth it as it is quite luxurious on the skin, and it will last you a while.

Moroccanoil Hand Cream Fragrance Originale (0.2 oz / 40 mL)

This was so needed in the winter months. I struggled to get used to the fragrance because I wasn’t sure what to equate it to. It’s not a bad scent, just one I’m not used to.

However, the hand cream is very moisturizing; An excellent thick consistency hand cream. You don’t need much to cover the hands. Once it’s all dried down, the hand cream is not greasy, which is always a plus since my hands sometimes get sweaty. It’s the perfect size to drop in any purse or pocket.

These are my favourites from the Sephora Favourites for Body Set so far. I’m curious if anyone else has picked up this set, and I’d love to know what you love about it.
