I popped into my local Shopper’s Drug mart a few weeks back and the Beauty Advisor mentioned there was a new line of makeup in store called Winky Lux. I hadn’t heard of them before, but when I saw the products I said,
“Oooh yes! I’ve always wanted to try this.”
Winky Lux is a beauty brand which offers everything from makeup to skincare. They are most notable for their Flower Bomb Lip Balm. Which is the product I purchased. I love a good gimmick as much as that is difficult to admit. I sometimes fall prey to overhyped and heavily marketed products.So you know, I immediately purchase the Flower Balm in Rose.
The Lip Balm Promises:
- Vegan Formula
- Gluten Free
- Clean Beauty ( No Parabens, Phthalates or Sulfates)
- pH lip stain
- Uniquely formulated to be your perfect shade of pink.
My lip balm came close to $30.00CDN which I thought was a bit steep. ( You guys know, I’m cost conscious AKA cheap.) The packaging was beautiful and the balm is small enough to drop in a purse.
However, the product itself was underwhelming. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it just wasn’t “GIVIN’ ” The product went on clear and did change to a nice shade of pink which was very noticeable on my very pigmented lips. I’ve included a video from my TikTok so you can watch my reaction.
Well, There you have it folks. Let me know if you’ve tried anything by Winky Lux. I’m really curious about their skincare line and a few of their other products but for now, I think I’ll pause on with the Lip Balm.
