If there is one thing I love, it’s well-moisturized skin. In December, I got an Instagram ad for Sistine. I got curious and went to their Instagram page. I pride myself on not being too easily influenced, but they got me right away. I loved the brand messaging, the elegance yet simplicity of the package, and the commitment to green beauty. If I needed to be dialled in more, the name appealed to the artist in me. So I went to the website to purchase one of their many packages, and guess what? Everything was virtually sold out!

In January, after a restock, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Sistine Stretch Body Oil. I had no preconceived thoughts about it, except I just expected it to be good because it is more than I would typically pay for a body oil of this size. I had high hopes guys.

Key Ingredients of Stretch Body Oil:
- Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is an excellent skin softener that helps prevent dry skin and flakiness and improves the skin’s overall elasticity. Jojoba oil has a high vitamin E content and is often found in many makeup, lotions and cosmetic products.
Grapeseed Oil:
- Grapeseed oil is rich in Omega-6 fatty acids and Vitamin E. A great anti-inflamotory. It also slows the signs of aging and helps improve the skin’s overall health.
- Rich in linoleic acid and antioxidants, grapeseed oil supports skin regeneration and helps maintain a healthy skin barrier.
Meadowfoam:
- Meadowfoam is a lightweight oil that helps reinforce the lipid barrier ( the outermost layer of the skin). Meadowfoam is great because it helps balance the skin without being overly heavy or oily. It helps protect by creating a barrier to prevent toxins and slows the aging process.
The first thing I noticed about Stretch Good Body Oil is the scent. It’s hard to explain, but it smelled like a calm retreat in the woods, a very pleasing aroma. I absolutely love it! The fragrance notes are;
Top Notes: Lemon, Orange, Bergamot, White Flowers.
Middle Notes: Iris, Cedarwood, Ambroxan.
Dry Notes: Vetiver, Amber, Vegan Musk, Olibanum.

After my bath, I warm the oil in my hands, then lather it onto my skin while it is still damp. The oil absorbs well into the skin and dries without being overly oily( hard to believe, but it’s true). This is huge for me because, despite loving moisturizing, I hate being greasy. The moisture lasts all day, and I didn’t need to moisturize throughout the day. I’ve used this body oil for over a week, and it has become an integral part of my body care routine. I’m also inlove with the woody, relaxing scent.
In conclusion, This is now a staple in my body care routine. The best $52.00 I’ve spent in a long time. It keeps my skin supple, soft, hydrated and, smells like a vacation in a bottle. If you’re looking for something similar. it’s worth it!
xoxo,
Natoya
