As you all know, I’m a lover of all things hair. I enjoy changing my hairstyle regularly using wigs, weaves, extensions you name it. With multiple hairstyles, I have to take into consideration the health of my own hair. This is the most important, ‘ve recently begun using Garnier Whole Blends in Oat Milk & Rice Cream.

Shampoo

A gentle shampoo filled with natural extracts of oat milk and rice extracts, Paraben-free and great for sensitive scalps! The first thing I noticed about this shampoo was the scent. I’m not usually a lover of anything that is heavily scented but this shampoo has a nice gently and pleasing scent. The shampoo lathers well and actually cleanse your hair. I use a variety of gels and oils on my natural hair and most often have build up as a result.

Surprisingly, my hair was not dried or stripped from the shampoo just cleanse and soft. This is so important for hair textures like mine.

Conditioner

The conditioner is made from the same ingredients and is creamy as well as hydrates every strand of hair when worked through the hair with fingers. I was able to detangle and brush my hair effortlessly. This took about half the time it usually does for me. I also saw immediate curl definition and softness which is a huge plus since my hair is ultra-thick and coarse.

Hair Mask

I’ve never tried a hair mask so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t think this was a necessary step for since I had already condition my hair and it was soft and detangled. The hair mask is a necessary step it takes your hair hydration to the next level. They suggested time to leave the hair mask in is 3 minutes. I ignored the suggestion to ce a plastic cap on and let it sit for ten minutes. I then washed it out and my hair was left feeling extremely soft, hydrated and Lightweight my hair did not feel weighed down by product or coated with product.

Overall, I’m in love with this line of Garnier Whole Blends. If you have extremely thick hair and would love to retain some moisture and control these are the cleansing products you need. I’m kicking myself for not trying these sooner. They have taken the guesswork out of wash day for me.
