Recent Purchases – Make-Up and Books

Hey Lovelies,

I’m not sure about you guys but online shopping is my jam. It could be the convenience of it all, or perhaps it’s the years spent working in retail which makes mall shopping for some things not so fun for me. Either way, I think online shopping is the best invention since the wheel – minus paying for shipping costs. I HATE paying shipping costs.

I was having a bit of an “Add To Cart” kind of a night and wanted to share some of the things on my wishlist for the fall and a few things I’ve actually purchased. I’ve broken it down into Make-up, books, home and everything else. Have a look and let me know if you have any of these on your list as well.

Let’s start with beauty, I’ve always been curious about Drunk Elephant’s line of products and finally pulled the trigger with their minis at Sephora. I find minis is a good way to not over commit to a product you may or may not like. I bought the Rise + Glow and Out of Office Mini.

Drunk Elephant Minis from Sephora.

Jackie Aina X Anastacia Beverly Hills Palette.

Absolutely love this palette by Jackie Aina X ABH, It’s so great to have a palette in which you are able to use EVERY SINGLE SHADE. I bought this as a birthday present to myself and it’s definitely the best $60.00 I’ve spent on makeup in awhile. There’s a video on my channel featuring this palette.

FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder

Last in the cart for makeup is this Fenty Beauty setting powder in the shade Nutmeg. I’m a die-hard fan of Laura Mercier’s Translucent powder but I’ve seen so many people swear by this setting powder Fenty Beauty has to offer. It works great and helps to keep my makeup set all day but most of all it smells amazing. fenty beauty, setting powder, pro fltr,

Books

Most of the best books I’ve read, I’ve bought at Indigo on the sale table on a whim Honestly, I’ve discovered many authors and varying subject matter I didn’t know I would be interested in until picking up a $5.00 book or sometimes a $2.00 book. But, we are online shopping and Indigo is making this easy with their DEALS OF THE WEEK. Each week you are able to stay at add books to your cart. Miss Maya_003with the same amazing deals, you would typically receive in-store. How amazing is that? I recently bought myself this great read by Maya Angelou – I know why the Cage Bird Sings. This is a classic and a treasure on my bookshelf.

Speaking of books, I also love purchasing books from amazon. Do you guys remember when Amazon only sold books? That was many moons ago but what I love about purchasing books on amazon is you are able to purchase gently used books that need a new home rather than brand new copies. I  bought a few gently use Toni Morrison books for my collection. I’ve added them to my AMAZON STOREFRONT if you guys would like to support me there. I Purchased this copy of Paradise through amazon.

And that’s it those are my latest online purchases. Do you guys prefer to shop online or instore?
